How to apply

  • It is suggested to the recruit to generally review themselves with what the Troupe is and about. The Charter and the Bylaws as well as the rest of the site is available for you as resources.
  • A current Troupe member must sponsor new members. This generally consists of the new member candidate finding a member or being assigned to one. The member continues to blab on about the Troupe with recruit, answering any questions, concerns and relaying any information to keep each end up to date. Then, deciding the blabbin’ wasn't too bad, they move on to the next step.
  • Once sponsored, the Speaker interviews new member candidates. This is to give all a more in depth feel of who the candidate is that you may not be able to get from written scrolls. Should they survive this hideous torture, they move on to the next step. (Please, Email The Speaker  at mrspresa@play.net to schedule an interview. Label it as "Applicant" and provide your contact information and when would be a good time to hunt you down in game.)
  • After being interviewed, new member candidates will be required to produce an introduction commentary about themselves either by scribe, recitation or solo performance. There are no requirements for length or content of this introduction commentary, but it should be appealing to council members, as they are the ones who review it whilst voting on the new member. It should also be interesting to Patrons who will be invited to review all introduction commentaries. The potential new member submits this introduction commentary to the Speaker, who relays it to the council for voting.
  • Council votes yea or nay on potential new member. Majority 'yea' means, “Welcome to the Troupe.” Majority 'nay' means, “Sorry, try again later if you desire.” Rejected member candidates must wait one month to reapply.
  • Lead Council Member announces the new members to the rest of the Troupe, congratulating them, and makes their introductory commentary public knowledge. The Secretary files a copy of the new member's introductory commentary in the Troupe files.
  • New members are welcomed at the next Troupe general meeting in a ceremony presided over by the Speaker, and are thereafter subject to the Troupe bylaws.
